This month we had our annual picnic, held in my backyard. Sorry some of you were not able to join us, it was a lot of fun. Thanks to all the ladies, the food was awesome. The weather was perfect for a day outside. I forgot to take pictures – someone needs to start reminding me to do that so we have things to post on the web.
Robin Pollard shared many great lace shawls with us and we will have to see if she could bring the Picot shawl to the next meeting so we can all get the story on that one. J I did see other great show and tell – can everyone bring your things to the next meeting too, not everyone got to see the nice things. Thanks
Next month we have http://www.glasspens.com/ Michael and Sheila Ernst coming. You may have seen them at one of the fiber festivals. They sell glass needles and shawl pins – straights, circulars and double points, with a great warranty. If they break they will repair or replace, you just pay shipping.
AUGUST 10TH MEETING AT ARROWHEAD MOBILE PARK 10:00 AM
I am still looking for donations for HOPE STATION by Sept/Oct.
Hope Station is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to working individuals in need by providing grocery products, clothing, and educational classes. http://www.hopestationcsi.org/
It would be great if you could make any hats, scarves, mittens or fingerless gloves, preferably with washable yarns, so we can donate as much as possible by the time it gets cold. All sizes needed. Thank you!
