Maureen and Pam welcomed the Guild to Terrace Lake and are looking forward to a good partnership with the Guild. Maureen treated the members with brownies. The Guild meetings are on the calendar for the second Saturday of each month.

Recap of 2018 Charity Donations (Kathy H.)
The Guild donated 92 items total in 2018. The majority went to Father Taffee House. The Guild, in collaboration with the sewing guild, provided over 1,000 hats to the homeless.

2019 Programs (Teresa)
Teresa will be sending out a Survey Monkey to Guild members with all of the suggestions provided for programs. Please take a minute to complete the survey.
February’s program will be Three Fates Yarn, a Salem indie dyer.
March – should the Guild rent a van to go to Portland for the Rose City Yarn Crawl? This will be a question on the survey also.
2018 UFOs and/or Goals (Su)
Teresa completed 21 items! in 2018.
Ginny completed her shrug that she started in 2016.
Cindy completed three items: one Halloween sock (Vanilla Latte pattern), Debut shawl, and Brioche scarf.
Teresa won a gift certificate to Teaselwick for the most items completed.
Ginny won a gift certificate to Teaselwick for the oldest UFO completed.
2019 Sign-up Sheets – Snacks, Setup/Cleanup (Su)
The Snacks sign-up sheet is full for 2019.
The Setup/Cleanup sign-up sheet still needs volunteers. The sign-up sheet will be sent around again at the February meeting.
Roster
Last year’s roster was sent around for members to review and make changes. Please add your birthday month.
The 2019 roster will be distributed at the February meeting.
Guild Board Positions
Kathy Howald was thanked for her many years serving as the Guild’s secretary. Kathy received a gift certificate from Paramount Sewing.
Su Fennern announced that 2019 is her last year as President.
At this time, the Guild does not have a secretary. The secretary duties have been split between President (Su Fennern), Vice President (Teresa Furnish), and Treasurer (Sue Munson).
Cindy Barrick has become the Guild’s web master.
There needs to be a Nomination Committee formed. Volunteers are requested.
Misc Other
The 2019 Color of the Year is ‘Living Coral’. Su held up a color card with the approximate color.
Terrace Lake collects food for the Marion-Polk Food Share. Please consider donating items. Their goal is to fill one barrel every month. Make sure that items do not have an expired date as Marion-Polk Food Share will not take them.
The Tangled Purls shop will be closing soon 😦 Stop by and checkout their sales.
If you have a group of knitters who get together and would welcome others, please let us know so we can have that information available on our website.
Teaselwick Wools, located in the Willamette Heritage Center at the Mill, welcomes knitters on Tuesdays any time they are open (10:00 AM-5:00 PM) and Wednesday (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
